“The difficulty lies, not in the new ideas, but in escaping from the old ones, which ramify, for those brought up as most of us have been, into every corner of our minds.”

Welcome to my website! My name is Marco Nerino and I am currently an Assistant Professor in Corporate Governance at King's Business School (King's College London) and a Research Associate at the Centre for Business Research (University of Cambridge).
I obtained a PhD in Finance from King's College London. During my PhD, I spent two years as visiting researcher at the CBR (University of Cambridge). I was also awarded the Gavin C. Reid Prize for the Best Paper by a CBR Early Career Researcher (2019/20).
My research interests are in corporate finance, corporate governance, and corporate social responsibility. The first paper from my PhD has been published in Review of Finance (one of the 50 journals included in the FT Research Rank). This research has been covered by Financial Times, The Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance, Board Agenda, IR Magazine, and many other newspapers and magazines.
